Personal Statement

I work with my clients to develop treatment goals that will decrease distress and improve overall mental health. I focus on helping clients reach their goals by recognizing the complex interactions between thoughts, behaviors, and emotions. I am generalized in my approach to therapy and recognize the uniqueness of individuals I treat. I often utilize evidence based practice, mindfulness, stress management, and supportive therapy in treatment. I believe in helping clients find confidence in their abilities and recognition of their self-worth. I strive to provide a therapeutic environment that is warm, open, and non-judgmental.

I specialize in treating anxiety, depression, trauma, stress management, anger, and adjustment disorders. I have experience working with chronic pain, insomnia, substance abuse, severe mental illness, and adjustment to visual impairment. I am trained in evidence based therapies such as CBT, HeartMath, CPT and Brief Prolonged Exposure (PE-PC).

I am a Montana girl who loves the outdoors and spending time with my family. I have experience working with Private, Tribal, State, and Federal Agencies. I am a certified telebehavioral health practitioner with experience in delivering telehealth to individuals in rural areas. I am currently the Diversity Coordinator on the Board of Directors for MPA.
