Personal Statement

Terilee Wunderman provides individual, marriage & family therapy to children, adolescents and adults of all ages. She provides expert witness consultations for matters involving trauma, abuse and neglect, adoption & foster care, gender and sexual orientation, and parental fitness.

I work with clients to help discover their natural strengths and gifts in order to develop better coping skills, overcome challenges and traumas, and promote healing, self-confidence, and enthusiasm in their relationships, work, and life choices. I offer workshops and presentations throughout the South Florida community on adoption, gender and sexual orientation, vicarious trauma resolution, journaling, and practical spirituality.

I work with clients at a pace and frequency that suits their unique needs, which may be weekly, monthly, or as-needed. I encourage therapy supports including journaling, mindfulness meditation practices, creative pursuits, proactive self-care, forgiveness, self-compassion, and practical non-denominational spirituality.

My approach to therapy is to help you find better ways to cope with life's challenges by supporting your strengths and natural gifts. My areas of expertise include relationship, family and parenting concerns including multi-cultural issues, infertility and adoption, GLBTQ matters, overcoming child abuse trauma, and healing through grief and loss. I utilize a combination of cognitive behavioral and client-centered approaches along with a focus on acceptance, forgiveness, and self-compassion. I encourage healthy self-care by valuing the mind, body, emotional, and spiritual aspects of who you are.
