Personal Statement
Dr. Robert McCarthy is an internationally-known authority in integrative medicine as well as a State Licensed (LPC) and Nationally-Board Board Certified (NCC, CCMHC) Mental Health Professional Counselor (CCMHC) and Supervisor (LPCS, ACS), as well as a Licensed (LAC) and Board Certified Addiction Counselor (MAC), with over forty years experience in the clinical assessment, diagnosis, remediation and treatment of individuals with emotional, physical, neurological, and learning disorders.
During the 1970s, he completed formal postgraduate training in psychoanalytically-oriented and family therapies in New York City. We work with most patients within an integrative medicine model that emphasizes emotional, neurological and social factors.
Dr McCarthy and his professional colleagues continue to work with a range of emotional, psychophysiological, neurological, and learning disorders referred by various psychiatric, medical, educational, and other community-based programs.
