Personal Statement
I have openings for new clients via telehealth. Struggling with painful memories of trauma (PTSD)? Exhausted from chronic insomnia or nightmares? Feeling defeated by panic attacks, excessive worrying, or avoidance of feared situations (anxiety)? Difficulties with feeling down, little enjoyment, or low motivation (depression)? Bothered by intense feelings, challenging life transitions, or stress? Looking to connect with others, healthy behaviors, or purpose? I am passionate to offer you evidence-based counseling to help you achieve your goals using the convenient access provided by online therapy.
I primarily offer cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), which is a gold-standard psychotherapy in psychology. Our beliefs, behaviors, and feelings are interconnected. Together, we will explore science-backed techniques using CBT to manage your thoughts, actions, and emotions. You may build relationships, boost vitality, and achieve a renewed sense of meaning or peace.
What can you expect from our first session? After the first appointment, my clients report having a better self-understanding and feeling more hopeful. When you engage in counseling, I would normally recommend attending 8 to 15 therapy sessions weekly or once every other week, actively participating in therapy sessions, and practicing outside of therapy sessions to promote learning and growth. Meaningful symptoms reduction is often found after 6 sessions and treatment goals are typically reached by 12 sessions.
