Personal Statement

Fresh from the Jersey Shore! I am a Doctor of Psychology new to Beaufort but not to practice, as president of one of the largest groups of Psychologists in NJ (ChallengesAndHope.com).

So what do I do as a practicing doctor that is unique? Well, first I am a doctor, so you benefit from the highest level of training. But perhaps more important? I am a highly involved and interactive Psychologist. We will become a dynamic team, you and I! We’ll create SOLUTIONS to problems and then I will teach you how to make them HAPPEN!

Half my work is with individuals, but with a Doctoral specialty in Family Therapy I am very prepared to work with your partner, child, parent, or best friend – anywhere with conflict or the potential for solutions!

We may work on… You, feeling Overwhelmed. Stuck. Or ugh, hopeless or helpless to make change. Maybe angry, resentful, frustrated. Perhaps struggling with addictions . Some folks can’t focus – other’s minds are racing. You may be surrounded by people who don’t know you are even hurting, or isolated and yearning for love. Maybe you don’t know what’s bothering you – you’re just not sure you will ever be happy. Oh, the list is long – Loss. Stress. Fear. Depression. Anxiety. Panic. Sexuality. Medical struggles. Wow, we humans have our challenges, don’t we?!

Sometimes you are alone in your struggles, other times they are playing out with partners, parents, kids, friends, coworkers... and today? We are even struggling with the world around us.

The struggles may seem new, and for some, it feels like we can never get out from under the shadow of earlier influences in our lives.

Well, gang, here’s HOPE. Whether it’s with me or another clinician – FIGHT! Fight for yourself. Find a path to get free and strong! Believe in you – let go of past patterns, burdens, errors, and let’s learn how to step back into the sun!
