Personal Statement

My name is Dr. Janice Dugan. I am a Professional Interventionist, educator, and psychotherapist with more than 20 years experience. I conduct a private practice located at Willow Run Farm, Mullica Hill, Gloucester County, New Jersey.

My professional credentials include Doctor of Philosophy in Professional Psychology, Certified Professional Interventionist, Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), Licensed Clinical Drug and Alcohol Professional (LCADC), EAGALA Certified Equine Facilitated Psychotherapist and New Jersey Certified Clinical Supervisor (CCS). I have conducted consistently successful interventions since 1995.

Working with adolescents and adults in individual, group, marital, and family therapy settings is tremendously rewarding! My practice specializations include addiction intervention and treatment, and management of mental illnesses including bipolar disorder, depression, anxiety, and post-traumatic stress disorder.

In a safe and private environment and working with a Certified Equine Specialist, we provide Equine Facilitated Psychotherapy and Learning (EFPL). This evidence-based practice approach -- adjunct to the psychotherapy treatment model -- promotes emotional healing with horse as guide.

My therapeutic approach blends traditional Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) with a humanistic, person-centered approach that serves to facilitate an individual’s creative ownership of the therapeutic process and outcome.
