Personal Statement

I bring to the table a wealth of professional and personal experience. I provide an atmosphere of safety and total confidentiality. I enjoy a mixed adult practice which includes couples' work and hypnotherapy. I view the essence of my job as putting myself out of business through helping make the world more sane, balanced and humane.

Since becoming licensed in 1977, I have maintained a general, mostly adult practice. I now bring a breadth and depth of experience to the table. I have worked with people with highly complex problems for extended periods as well as with clients appropriate for brief therapy. I assume that everyone can make positive changes once they access inner resources they may not even realize are there.

I am comfortable working with individuals and couples. My overall style is flexible and interactive, geared to your particular goals and needs. I believe that a therapist’s approach should respond to the client’s situation rather than the other way around.

In addition to a varied set of therapy skills, I am highly trained and practiced in hypnosis and hypnotherapy and can offer this modality, which often proves a very powerful tool for change.
