Personal Statement
My job is to work myself out of a job. I have dedicated my career to offering my clients the most value I can in as few sessions as necessary. Why? Because that's what I wanted when I was a consumer. Instead, the best I could do was to pay therapists to define me by my unchangeable past and focus on all the ways my parents failed me. As a clinician, I don't do that type of work. Instead I get to work with you right away to set goals and start making progress that you can feel.
I took matters into my own hands. I knew something was wrong with me and I would be damned if I couldn’t figure it out. I studied psychology and got my doctorate. I learned a way of doing therapy that is painless and actually works. I changed my practice and my life. I became legal and now get the medicine that I need to take care of myself and my family. I have read acres of books and interviewed thousands of people with PTSD.

Our mental health system completely fails people with PTSD. They are usually misdiagnosed and then the pharmaceuticals and talk therapy they receive are not effective. I have PTSD, I understand it better than just about anyone, and I am working to give people real help.
