Personal Statement

Dr. Christina Zampitella, PsyD, FT is the owner and founder of the Center for Grief and Trauma Therapy. I am a psychologist, adjunct professor, and professional speaker. As a Thanatologist (specialist in death, loss and grief), I focus on working with bereaved individuals while also serving those with a variety of mental health concerns such as depression, anxiety, and relationship concerns. I have worked in the mental health and educational fields for over 27 years in a variety of settings such as universities, community mental health, and private practice. I have found that using an individualized mind/body/spirit approach best serves my clients’ path towards healing. I value diversity and enjoy working with people from all cultures, gender identities, sexual orientations, and spiritual/religious orientations.

I specifically work with older adolescents, adults, and couples with a wide variety of emotional, interpersonal, and spiritual struggles. Professional trainings, seminars, and consultation are services in which I have extensive experience and regularly offer as well.
