Personal Statement
Andrea Hendricks, Ph.D. is a clinical psychologist with a private practice in Birmingham focusing on adolescents, adults, and couples. While she sees a wide variety of client issues in her practice, her past research has focused eating and weight related issues. Her post-doctoral clinical training focused on medical and health psychology across the age span. At UAB, Dr. Hendricks assists with clinical research on addiction in the department of public health and teaches in the psychology department.
I see couples who are working through current issues as well as couples who are doing well and would like to have time set aside to continue to improve and maintain their healthy relationship. I offer one session psycho-education, and multi-session group therapy in weight management and stress management in corporate settings.
