Personal Statement

I am passionate about helping children, adolescents, college students and their parents navigate the complexities of life and the myriad emotions that are part of the human experience. I aspire to help both youth and parents find solutions tailored to their priorities and goals, keeping the best interests of the client at the forefront of my work. My clinical approach is rooted in cognitive-behavioral and solution-focused therapy, while also incorporating elements of person-centered therapy (and play therapy with young children). I encourage and empower clients within the context of an empathic and collaborative therapeutic relationship. Additionally, I conduct comprehensive psychoeducational evaluations for elementary through college-age students.

My areas of clinical practice include anxiety and depression, emotional and behavioral regulation, managing friendships and setting healthy boundaries, perfectionism and positive school engagement, stress and difficult life transitions, ADHD-related concerns, and parent-child relationships and dynamics. I also provide parent consultation sessions with the goal of improving the parent child relationship as well as the feel and flow of family life.
