Personal Statement

As a Licensed Counselor and Registered Nurse, I have a broad understanding of how the mind and body work together to restore wellness. I have a compassionate approach and utilize Cognitive Behavioral Therapy but will opt for other treatment approaches that are most effective to meet your needs. I am an expert in developing and implementing individualized treatment plans. I have been successful in connecting with my clients on a level defined by them, allowing me to delve deep into their problems and provide well-suited solutions.

My counseling style is participatory, which is the secret of my success with many clients with mental health issues. When helpful, I take a collaborative approach to include the client’s medical team and this is where my experience as a Registered Nurse is invaluable. I have extensive experience in treating clients with depression, anxiety, grief, substance abuse/dependency, PTSD and many other mental health concerns. I focus my treatment to meet the clients needs and offer support to families. I work with children, adolescents and adults in individual, couples and group settings to best suit my client’s needs.

My top priority is to provide you with the therapy you need to live your fullest and happiest life! I will not allow cost to deter you from pursuing self-improvement and will work with you to accommodate your financial needs.
