Personal Statement
Working as a therapist in both the hospital and private practice settings has made me realize that the key to effective therapy is your comfort. When you feel comfortable with your therapist, you gain the ability to make meaningful life changes. I will do my best to create a safe and comfortable therapeutic environment, one in which we will work together to achieve your goals, whether it is as an individual or a couple.
The power to decide belongs to you. You get to choose who you'll work with and how long they'll be a part of your life. Your comfort should always be at the heart of those decisions.
I believe every person has a unique life story and concerns and therefore offer an individualized and personal approach for each client. Using a blend of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), clients experience my approach to be interactive and one that holds them accountable. I view therapy as a collaborative process and work with my clients to provide them with evidence-based tools and skills necessary to make changes to live more fulfilling and meaningful lives.
I treat both individuals and couples who are seeking to improve their lives and relationships. I work with couples in every stage of their relationship, whether they are dating or seeking pre-marital or marital counseling. With couples, I primarily use the evidence-based Gottman Method Couples Therapy.
I have early morning, evening, and weekend hours available. I also offer online video therapy for those who are unable to make it into my office.
