Personal Statement

For the past 30+ years I've been a practicing MFT -- addictions specialist/relationship trainer -- working primarily with relationship related issues. As a relationship trainer I commonly address anger management, affairs, conflict resolution, communication and recovery issues. I also specialize in pre-marital counseling... for those who want to get their relationship off to a healthy start.

I combine psycho-education and communication skills building with therapeutic process to empower the transformation of relationships. I have an eclectic orientation that draws on Western and Eastern schools of psychology.

My books, Demystifying Addiction --a relationship model for understanding the emotional dynamics of addiction; and Relational Recovery --clearly delineated principles and guidelines for dealing with the challenges inherent in building emotionally nourishing relationships. I provide services to a culturally diverse population, including all races, religions, nationalities and sexual orientations.
