Personal Statement

Hi! I’m Danica (pronounced Da-NEE-Ka). I help older teens and young adults during a transitional time in their lives; such as heading to college, coping with being away from home, launching into adulthood and a career by giving them skills to understand and manage their “overthinking” brains so they can be successful in life.

I was fortunate that I found a major (Social Work) and a small college (Anna Maria College in Paxton, Massachusetts) that really helped me blossom into who I am today. I have both a Bachelor and Master’s degree in social work

I have been practicing clinical social work for over 25 years. I have worked in many different treatment settings including residential/group home placements, foster care, school system, in-home, emergency room, short-term out patient, and private practice. The majority of my experience is with adolescents; however, I also have experience with all ages of adults.

After meeting with me, clients report that they feel as though the pain they have been experiencing is acknowledged and validated. I help explain the way their brain is working and teach skills to alleviate the pain and worries.
