Personal Statement

In my role as a clinician, my primary focus is on establishing rapport with clients. Building therapeutic trust is the crucial factor that contributes to the success of therapy. I firmly believe in a collaborative approach to counseling, where clients actively participate in the therapeutic process. Therapy goes beyond understanding the reasons for seeking counseling; it involves acquiring new skills through education. By enhancing awareness, individuals can engage in higher-level reasoning and respond effectively to challenges.

Autonomy and self-efficacy are fundamental aspects of this process. They involve reducing dependence on others and fostering reliance on oneself. My ultimate objective is for clients to possess the tools to navigate their own paths, not only being able to guide themselves but also to pick themselves up and continue their journey towards personal growth and well-being.

At Telegood Counseling PLLC, my goal is to equip clients with the necessary skills and knowledge to not only address their current concerns but also apply them to other areas of their lives.
