Personal Statement

Hi there, my name is Christine! You’re considering therapy, so let me tell you a little about what I offer: listening, validation, acceptance, and experience. I’m a feminist therapist who works mostly with adults, including older folks. I can help with menopausal issues, life transitions, and serious illness diagnoses.

Do you already have an idea of what you're dealing with, maybe feelings of depression or anxiety? We can collaborate to help you cope and find coping skills that work best for you. I'll offer you "best practice" tools pulled from a variety of established methodologies.

Are you not really sure what's going on but feel shaky, uneasy, or just different from usual? I'm not going to fit you into a cookie-cutter diagnosis. We'll narrow down your symptoms, talk it over, and come up with a treatment plan that will give you agency and confidence.

Deciding to start therapy isn't an easy process! It takes courage to show up for yourself. My office is a judgment-free zone--you can feel safe to talk about what really matters to you. I welcome LGBTQIA folks, people of color; I'm sex-positive and believe in Health At Every Size.
