Personal Statement

Cathy A Jenner, MA, LMHC is a Mental Health Therapist whose focus is helping people of all ages become more emotionally and cognitively healthy. I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor through the State of Washington Department of Health. I am also a trained Learning Disabilities Specialist.

I have a Masters of Arts degree in Counseling Psychology from City University of Seattle and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology from the State University of New York at Plattsburgh. I am a trained Learning Disability Assessment Specialist through the Washington State Board of Community and Technical Colleges and provide learning disability testing services for local psychologists to diagnose LD.

I am particularly experienced in supporting teens, adults and families impacted by learning disabilities (LD), ADHD, anxiety disorders and issues due to changes in life such as unemployment or disability. As an experienced ADHD coach for students, I offer weekly structured tutoring services to help students stay focused and keep on track with their school work.

I also love to work with people experiencing problems with relationships, anxiety, depression or other challenges, such as helping couples regain closeness or helping parents reconnect with their children. As a Learning Specialist and Therapist, I use a Brain Based therapeutic approach to helping my clients become more in tune with their thoughts and feelings.
