Personal Statement

I graduated from a Master's Program in Mental Health Counseling at University of Cincinnati in April 2021 and am a licensed professional counselor in Ohio. I completed my practicum and internship experience at IKRON of Greater Cincinnati where I worked with underserved adults with mental health and substance use disorders by providing diagnostic assessments and individual and group counseling. My areas of interest include mood and anxiety disorders, grief, substance abuse, and eating disorders. My experience as a counselor thus far has entailed work in mood and anxiety disorders, substance abuse, grief, and suicidality. I have experience using cognitive behavioral therapy, dialectical behavior therapy, and humanistic or person-centered therapy. I am interested in acquiring training in TF-CBT, DBT, eating disorders, and art therapy as well.
