Personal Statement

All psychotherapy comes down to deepening the individual’s connection to their self. When we lose that connection to our self, all other connections in our life suffer. Suddenly, it is a struggle to be fully present with the ones with love and care for. We become blocked from experiences in life and career that used to bring us fulfillment. We lack the motivation to participate in the communities in which we have a vested interest. When faced with these disconnections we start to wonder:

• What is my meaning?

• What is my purpose?

• What’s the point?

I use an eclectic approach to meet the individual’s needs: Psychodynamic Psychology to understand how the individual’s past obstructs their present; Cognitive therapeutic skills to combat the blockages so the individual can fully engage in their life; as well as Existential-Oriented psychologies to lead the individual toward greater meaning and purpose.

Everything in therapy is done in service of deepening the individual’s connection with their self. The psychotherapeutic process is one of self-discovery. During this process you will find, surprise, and ultimately inspire yourself.
