Personal Statement
If you are feeling distressed and have not been able to find effective ways to feel better, I am happy to talk with you and see if I can help. I have worked with individuals, couples and families for over 25 years and can offer a safe, confidential and comfortable space for your healing to begin. Every person is unique so I listen to what is happening to you and around you so that you can find ways to understand yourself more clearly, and hopefully find new and better ways to cope with conflict and with life's transitions and tragedies.
I work with people who are going through life’s transitions. I also work with people who are experiencing depression, anxiety, PTSD, and many other emotional and behavioral issues. I see individual adults, couples, families, and have been working in this field for 30+ years. Psychotherapy is a life-giving process that heals wounds and explores new ways to find more contentment in life. Often people come in highly distressed because their ways of coping with stress and conflict aren’t working very well. My job as a psychotherapist is to assess, explore and help clients find new ways to respond to naturally occurring events and to past, present and future traumas. Clients develop new strategies to improve how they feel about themselves internally and how they can deal better with relationships and the chaos of this confusing world.
Our inner worlds sometimes reflect the chaos we see in our outer world. Stress, poor health, rigid habits, and difficult relationships can be handled in healthier ways much of the time. Feel free to contact me if you would like to see if I can help you in any way that I can.
