Personal Statement

Think of where you are going in your life. Are you heading down the path you desire? If not, why? What’s holding you back? So often we struggle with the transitions of life and can’t redirect our previous goals. Maybe you are experiencing grief over the loss of a loved one. Maybe you’re angry, fearful, or anxious because of a traumatic event. It’s possible that you’re unsure if your career meets your needs or that a relationship is stuck in conflict. If you’re feeling any emotions that you’d like to work through, or if you’re noticing that your child or teenager seems persistently sad, irritable, or stressed, it is time to see a professional.

My specialty is working with individuals (ages 6 and older) and families to provide the psychotherapeutic care they need to break free from the negative cycles they’re in. I utilize cognitive behavioral therapy and mindfulness—focusing on the present moment—to help my clients understand their behaviors/thoughts and find new ways to act/think. I also use EMDR and gentle reprocessing to help people shift from negative to positive thinking.
