Personal Statement
I believe all emotions are valid because we feel them at the moment we do. It's what we think about them that can be helpful or harmful. I help people figure out how thoughts are harming them and how to change them. I welcome clients 13 and older. I am a psychotherapist in private practice. I specialize in children, parents and families with a CBT and family systems approach providing holistic, mindfulness and spiritual care. I also focuses on trauma and domestic violence issues.
I use mindfulness to understand the thinking around someone’s feelings and to move away from the harmful thinking. I teach people to be very present and very honest. That honesty applies to oneself because most of the harmful thinking is from lies others have spoken. That honesty has to be given with love and without judgement.
It is my dream that everyone I encounter find a bit more of their truth and live it. I believe every encounter is to teach me something about myself. Sometimes I hate that and sometimes it’s pretty cool. I work hard to live my truth.
