Personal Statement

I believe that each individual is an expert to his or her situation. I offer counseling to individuals for help adjusting to life events, such as loss, divorce, occupational stressors, or learning to cope with serious mental illnesses. I am certified in Eye-Movement Desensitization Reprocessing (EMDR) and help many people overcome past traumas. I am also an active counselor with individuals and their families struggling with Eating Disorders.

I grew up in the Mobile area and studied Psychology at Washington College in Chesterton, Maryland. I earned my Master's degree in Clinical Psychology from Georgia School of Professional Psychology. I worked with Singing River Services in Lucedale Mississippi for three and a half years, then moved back home to practice counseling. I was a therapist for Alabama Psychiatric Services until February 2015, when I decided to open my own practice.

I am available by phone, text or email. I will promptly respond to your questions. I accept most Blue Cross Blue Shield plans. I also work with individuals who are not insured or prefer to pay privately.
