Personal Statement
I have been working in the mental health field for over 10 years and I am a Licensed Professional Counselor, National Certified Counselor and a Certified Co-Occurring Disorders Professional Diplomate. I have provided effective evidence based-treatment for many children, adolescents and adults in Bucks County.
My forte is addiction treatment for substance use/ behavioral addictions and also treatment for the individual's loved ones/family I specialize in treating the following addictions: drug or alcohol use, prescription medication, nicotine, steroids, caffeine, diet pills, gambling, work, sex, internet, tanning, pornography, shopping, exercise or tanning. I also have vast amount of experience treating depression, anxiety, PTSD, ODD, ADHD, low self-esteem and relationship issues.
For someone who has never been in therapy before, I can understand how it can seem scary or overwhelming. Hopefully the information I provide makes you feel less anxious about beginning. Therapy is a paradox; meaning that as soon as you come in, I am trying to help you get out. Despite what you may have heard, you are not supposed to be in therapy forever. Therapy is just something temporary to help get you where you want to be and then to go back into the world without therapy and just living life and applying the skills you have learned and changes you have made to your daily life.
My office is located in the heart of Doylestown Borough of Bucks County near Doylestown Hospital and Central Bucks West High School. I am an in network provider for Cigna, United Healthcare, Optum, Independence Blue Cross, Keystone Health Plan East, Personal Choice and Magellan. I look forward to hearing from you and meeting you!
