Hi! My name is Virginia and I am a licensed Clinical Social Worker in California with 6 years of experience in providing mental health and case management services to adults, adolescents, and the elderly. I have provided individual and group therapy to patients within the community mental health agencies, hospitals, and prisons. I have a passion for working with diverse and multicultural populations. I believe everyone has a unique story, journey, and life experience that needs to be shared and I strive to create a safe and comfortable environment to explore and express that story. The most crucial part of any therapy process is for you to feel safe and confident while telling your story. I am a compassionate and encouraging person who will always strive to create an atmosphere that empowers you and supports you. My approach combines cognitive behavior, solution-focused, client-centered therapy that concentrates on mindfulness, self-exploration, and helps build on one’s strengths and respect one’s both past and present experiences. I will work with you to tailor a treatment plan and approach to what works best for you. You have taken the first step and I know it takes courage to seek help within the unknown.
