I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with 12 years experience working in the mental health field. I began my career assisting families in their homes. This exposure had a significant influence on how I address treatment. Through a Person-Centered Perspective, I see the treatment process as a partnership. I believe in order to bring about healing, there must be an atmosphere free from judgment, full of respect, encouragement and empathy. This is what I strive for.
I borrow from several different treatment models based on what fits best for the individual. This eclectic blend is mainly pulled from cognitive behavioral, solution- focused, attachment and dialectical behavioral therapies. Though, I specialize in the treatment of trauma- related disorders, I have aided in the success of overcoming a number of different challenges, such as, anxiety, depression, eating disorders, self-harm, suicidal ideations, paranoia, obsessive compulsions and many others.
Reaching out for help is difficult and I realize takes place after many previous attempts for resolution. I am grateful for the opportunity to accompany you on your journey!
