Hello! I am a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker with a passion for person centered care. I began my work in the behavioral health field in 2012 after completing my Master’s Degree of Social Work from Stony Brook University in Long Island, New York. I have worked with many diverse populations throughout years and has a deep appreciation for the varying needs and belief systems of all patients. I believe that it is important to explain cognitive functions and behavioral patters to patients so that they have increased knowledge around how their brain and thoughts work. I use a variety of treatment modalities that target these topics with an added focus on mindfulness and self-compassion. With a working understanding of these systems and compassion for their complexities, I believe that people can experience relief from symptoms of depression and anxiety and move toward healing.

Since all people have their own challenges and struggles, even therapists, I feel that it is important for patients to feel comfortable and encouraged to seek counseling. I believe that everyone has a variety of strengths and often just need some guidance or support in sorting out their sticking points and improving their overall wellness.
