I am a graduate of Antioch University, Los Angeles and hold currently three state licenses (Texas, California, and Montana). I am married to a Veteran and a former First Responder and have spent time in and around these populations and have first hand knowledge of the problems and limitations they experience. Early in my career, I worked with adults and children with developmental disabilities. I would assess and work with these individuals through Adaptive Skills Training and develop curriculum to aid them in development of communication and life skills. Later, I worked with foster care and juvenile criminal justice patients and families. So, I am highly familiar with adjustment disorders, working with mixed families, and parenting as well as reporting laws, domestic violence, and child abuse. Currently, and for the past 11 years, I have been working with severe addiction patients in a substance abuse, co-occurring facility. I am highly educated in treating addictions of all kinds, working with those with PTSD, depression and psychotic disorders (both substance induced and not), domestic violence perpetrators and victims, family conflict, adult criminal justice offenders, and addressing lifelong medical diagnoses. I have worked as psychology professor and as a Clinical Supervisor and feel these experiences have helped prepare me to work with a vast array of backgrounds, means, and abilities.
