As a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) with many years of experience in schools, clinics and private practice settings, I help children, teens, young adults and families overcome their challenges and achieve their goals through evidence-based and compassionate therapy. I own and operate a private practice that offers telehealth platform therapy in the Atlanta area since 2020. Before that. I was licensed and provided private practice therapy in Minnesota since 2004. I received my Masters in Clinical and School based Social Work from Columbia University in NYC in 1999.

My specialties include child/teen/ young adult-centered talk therapy, parent-child therapy, parent consultation and family therapy. I am passionate about building authentic and trusting relationships with my clients, and using an empathic and tailored style that meets their individual needs and preferences. Modalities utilized during sessions include, cognitive behavioral, coping skill instruction, psychoeducation, solutions focused, mindfulness training, client centered and strengths based / motivational interviewing and intervention.

I have experience diagnosing and treating various problems, including life adjustments such as teen development, college adjustment and future planning, ADHD and ADHD testing, disruptive behavior, anxiety, depression, divorce adjustment and co-parenting plans, grief & loss, PTSD and parent-child conflict. I can help you advocate for your child's school success & special education / IEP goal needs by collaborating with school staff.

I specialize in working clients who have with problems that interfere with social, emotional, behavioral and academic functioning. I believe in a collaborative, down to earth, client-centered, non-judgmental, compassionate and strengths perspective approach when working together. My focus will be on building a strong and trusting relationship where you can share openly and work towards healing. I believe in not only addressing problems in goal oriented ways, but also to build on your strengths in meeting your therapy goals in a safe space.
