About

It's time to bring the darkness into the light! Have you identified the source of your lost identity? Most people spend years and years seeking for answers in the wrong places, making the same mistakes over and over, and denying their issues out of pride, fear, shame, or just lack of insight, and never seem to identify the source of the problem. Most often we can trace our most frustrating daily problems back to one of those four root causes. When we flip the light switch on, the darkness has nowhere to hide! It is when this happens that we can finally begin to learn who we really are, and better understand how our true identity can lead us to resolving most of our emotional distress. Because it's not always the situations we can change - but how we react to all things. If you don't feel you have any control over how you react to your surroundings, or don't believe it's possible to change, then we absolutely have to meet and work on that together. We cannot afford to lose any more time because life is painfully short, and you deserve to know how to experience joy and peace. My passion for helping the lost and hurting began when I found God and surrendered my will to Jesus Christ. I then joined the United States Air Force as an Intelligence Analyst and gained experience presenting and training around the world. I attained an Associate's Degree in Communications Applications Technology, followed by a Bachelor of Science Degree in Psychology and Business Administration. I finally returned to the mission field of outreach and counseling through working as a Career Counselor, and then entered the Addictions treatment field while attaining a Master's of Science in Counseling Psychology. I have earned a Graduate Certificate in Biblical Studies as part of my ongoing mission to deliver clinical counseling through a sound Biblical lens, to ensure the Spirit of my care is devoted to seeking the truths of God in all circumstances. Serving as a spiritual care counselor and worship director of Recovery Church in Florida, as well as a worship leader for Celebrate Recovery, I got the wonderful opportunity to lead praise and worship over congregations of folks seeking everlasting change. This role inevitably began the heart of my "Worship Care" practice, where if you select this program, we will frame all of our time together beginning with actual worship in session and ending with prophetic prayer. I also offer a Recovery program for recovered individuals, family members, and evaluation for individuals in need of treatment. For more information, please visit our website (coming soon). My professional experience includes therapeutic care for all levels of addiction treatment and rehabilitation, as well as family therapy and direct counseling of children and adolescents. I have provided mental health counseling and support for all ages, backgrounds, and mental health disorders, spanning a vast array of clinical categories with speciality in treating anxiety, depression, chemical dependency and abuse, parenting difficulties, trauma, and codependency. My theoretical orientation for counseling follows a Cognitive Behavioral Therapy model which focuses on how our beliefs inform what we think, which affects our feelings, and then ultimately drives our behaviors. This framework runs parallel to what Paul in the New Testament of the Bible teaches in Romans 12 how a transformation of the mind will help you come to learn and live out God's will for your life; which essentially, involves following the words of Jesus and exhibiting the fruit of the Holy Spirit. When we live in a sea of cognitive distortions, or "unhelpful thinking styles", we are misperceiving what is really going on around us, which can feel like a mental and emotional prison! Unlearning what we've come to know as facts (that we are accidental, unlovable, out of control), and adopting what we hope to believe is actually true (that we are chosen, accepted, loved as we are) is where real change begins. Your journey to unlock the darkness, unleash your true identity, and live in real emotional freedom is literally only one step away from beginning.
