I am a board-certified Family Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner. Looking to end the stigma & disparity seen in the behavioral population Tameka Hawkins is a compassionate board-certified Family Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner. Tameka has a longstanding interest in precision (personalized) medicine for the treatment of psychiatric conditions. She is committed to delivering high-quality patient-centered care for the patients she serves. Mrs. Hawkins pays close attention to her clients and encourages them to speak up about their worries. She is invested in their well-being and wants the best for them. As a part of her education, Mrs. Hawkins attended Walden University. Here, she earned her master's degree in Family Psychiatric Mental Health Nursing. Tameka has been practicing as a nurse practitioner since 2020. Tameka has greater than 20 years of experience in the medical and mental health arena; providing services in a variety of settings such as inpatient/ outpatient, community, crisis, rehabilitation, and skilled nursing centers. Tameka has dedicated much of her career to providing care for individuals with the following condition(s): depression, bipolar disorder, adjustment disorders, anxiety, PTSD, substance use disorders, insomnia, schizophrenia, ADHD, and major neurocognitive disorders. Tameka believes in patient-center collaborative care. Tameka is a mental health advocate and is passionate about eradicating the stigma and disparity often seen within this population.
