Hello, I am a licensed clinical social worker with more than 16 years of experience. I have worked with many clients ranging in age from 6-86. Fourteen of those years have been in a university setting working with a diverse client population as well as having my own private practice. I have also worked in residential treatment for girls ages 13-17. I have worked with a variety of issues including: depression, anxiety, grief and loss, relationship issues, and parenting concerns. Additionally, I have worked with clients who have experienced past trauma. I have received additional training in Mindfulness, DBT (Dialectical Behavioral Therapy), Play Therapy, and EMDR.

My counseling style is warm and engaging. I believe that it takes a lot of courage to reach out for help. Therefore, I proceed by treating everyone with respect and with the knowledge that most of your answers will lie within you. It is my job to work with you in discovering some of these answers. I come from a systems background that looks at various areas of your life and your history but really have a more integrative approach, adding in elements of mindfulness, cognitive behavioral and psycho-dynamic theories. We will work together to tailor any treatment plan to your specific needs.
