I am a Social Worker, Advocate, and Therapist. I received my Bachelor of Arts (BA) in Psychology from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte. I attended the Joint Master of Social Work Program, which is a collaboration between NC A&T State University and the University of North Carolina at Greensboro. I graduated with a Master of Social Work (MSW) degree in 2005. This was an advanced generalist program that is accredited by the Council for Social Work Education (CSWE). I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in North Carolina and Virginia (NC License #C005920, VA License #0904015372), which enables me to practice psychotherapy independently. I have been a practicing clinical social worker/therapist for the past 18 years. I am also a NC Licensed Clinical Addictions Specialist Associate (LCAS-A/License #LCAS-16531) which allows me to provide substance use treatment services under the supervision of a Certified Clinical Supervisor (CCS).
