Shawn is a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) with over five years of experience in working with depression and anxiety, chronically mentally ill, developmentally disabled, and at-risk populations. He has specialized experience and training in providing Acceptance & Commitment Therapy (ACT) and Mindfulness-Based Cognitive-Behavior Therapy (MBCBT) to adults and adolescents with a wide variety of diagnoses, especially anxiety-based disorders.

His experience also extends to providing Prolonged Exposure Therapy (PE) in treating PTSD, as well as a variety of intervention skills based in Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA). He believes strongly in both evidenced-based and mindfulness-based approaches to therapy. Shawn is an experienced mindfulness instructor who has specialized in providing mindfulness-based self-care workshops for direct care providers. He also enjoys administering harm-reduction focused dual-diagnosis group therapy for individuals with both mental health & substance abuse based disorders.
