Hello! My name is Sara Carpenter. I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker practicing in the state of Colorado. I graduated from the University of Kansas with a Master's Degree in Social Work with a Clinical Concentration in 2014. My clinical experience has included inpatient, outpatient and in-home work with children, adolescents, adults and families, street outreach and corrections.

I work from a client-centered approach, using strengths-based therapeutic modalities. I often utilize aspects of Motivational Interviewing in sessions in an effort to meet each client where they are and support them as they set and reach the goals they long to meet in their personal life. I also utilize aspects of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and the practice of mindfulness to assist clients in moving out of unhelpful thought patterns with positive coping skills and balanced thought processes. It is important to me, as your clinician, that your hopes and desires drive the direction of our time together.
