I am Sandy Barrett and my practice is focused on helping people, (children and adults) with mood disorders (such as depression and anxiety); parents struggling with special needs children (such as ADHD and Adjustment disorder); relationship issues (such as dealing with loneliness after a breakup, premarital and couples counseling); family and group counseling. I also work with individuals and groups who have experienced trauma (such as PTSD, grief, loss-physical or emotional; addiction and bullying.

Counseling improves the way you feel, individuals and family as a unit, gives you a new perspecitive, helps to build meaningful connection with others and take control of your lives. I earned an MS in Clinical Mental Health Counseling, completed the MA in Community Psychology requirements and earned an MA/MBA from Seton Hall University, South Orange, New Jersey. My undergraduate degree in Journalism/Communication is from Fairleigh Dickinson University in Teaneck, NJ.

My treatment approach is varied and includes CBT, Person Centered, EMDR, SBFT, Eclectic, Family and Narrative.
