Hi! My Name is Ruth Ridenhour. I am a Licensed Professional Counsel with certification in Tobacco Treatment Specialist, Certified Co-occurring Disorder Professional-Diplomat, and SHRM-CP. I have ten years of counseling experience with 8 of those working with clients who have addiction disorders. I have spent two years in Hurman Resources within a mental health-addiction use facility. I have worked with clients who struggle with depression, anxiety, family conflicts, grief and loss, parenting issues, social behavior, crisis counseling, and several other mental health concerns.

I am experienced in many counseling techniques such as CBT, DBT, Client Center, Mindfulness, Play Therapy, and Solution Focus. The first few sessions start with a person-centered therapy approach. We explore your needs and desire related to counseling to allow you to build that therapeutic relationship. I am here to support you and your “family” to build a healthier lifestyle in all aspects. Our lives are a series of different events and aspects such as home life, work-life, school life, spiritual life, and social life. I am here to support you and who you consider your support or family through the process.

I have a Master's degree in Educational Administration and Mental Health Counseling, resulting in obtaining a License in Professional Counseling. I specialize in children, adolescents, adults, families, couples, and employee assistant programming. I have experience in several counseling modalities such as in-home, office, telehealth, and other client-generated environments. I have experience working with social services, substance use facilities, head start, employee assistance programs, Medicaid, and additional private insurance.
