I am a licensed professional counselor in Missouri, and licensed mental health counselor in Florida. A graduate of the University of Missouri - St. Louis Graduate School in Counselor Education in 2011, my practice areas are in employee assistance programs and outpatient treatment for lawyers. Career and professional issues are my focus. Anxiety, depression, substance use, relationship issues, are also areas of expertise for me. I served 6 years in the United States Army Reserves as a Field Artillery soldier, and 31 years as a Missouri State Highway Patrol Officer. My approach to counseling is to seek the smallest improvements that can impact situations of distress or challenge and start a path towards better outcomes. Practical, genuine, and realistic research-based information, along with encouragement and exploration is my approach to each counseling session. I often use my work experience from previous careers and counseling to create metaphors and discussion for clients to consider. I never offer advice, just choices as I see them, and support. I look forward to working with each and every client.
