About

I am a Clinical Social Worker licensed in the state of Missouri. I have over 11 years of experience working with adults with a wide range of issues including anxiety, depression, bipolar disorder, schizophrenia, relationship difficulties and backgrounds with trauma. I became a parent over 11 years ago and dove into educating myself to provide support for women during pregnancy, the postpartum period and parenting. Also, I am a certified yoga instructor and a long time meditation practitioner.

I am compassionate and friendly person. I have a real interest in anything outdoors and believe in the healing power of nature. I work hard on myself so I can be present for clients. I am flexible and have many tools in my toolbox gained from varying work settings. Some of the counseling approaches I provide are cognitive behavioral therapy and mindfulness based therapy. I continue to stay up to date with varied trainings and continuing education. My counseling beliefs and styles are influenced by psychologist and author Tara Brach and author and counselor Kim John Payne who founded Simplicity Parenting.
