About

Rebecca Kazlauskas is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker who has had experience working in the mental health field since 2014. Rebecca graduated from Southern Connecticut State University with her Masters in Social Work in 2017, and previously received an MA in Curriculum and Instruction from the University of Connecticut in 2013. Most recently, Rebecca has provided treatment as an outpatient clinician in a community agency since 2016, working primarily with children ages 4-18 and their families. Rebecca approaches her clients with compassion, empathy, and acceptance as she believes no one’s identity should be defined by only their most challenging moments. Rebecca uses an eclectic approach to treatment, empowering individuals to engage in person-centered, strengths-based treatment to help them achieve goals and feel more empowered in their life, while also implementing CBT, mindfulness, and other self-regulation skills to support individuals in building insight into their own emotions. She is trained and certified in the Modular Approach to Therapy for Children, focusing on depression, trauma, anxiety and conduct (MATCH-ADTC); Attachment, Regulation and Competency framework (ARC); and has completed trainings in TF-CBT and CBITS. She has extensive experience working with youth who have experienced trauma (and other stressor-related disorders), are struggling with mood disorders such as anxiety and depression, providing parenting skills, and supporting children/adolescents and caregivers in navigating challenges and transitions when they need it most. Rebecca enjoys working with members of the LGBTQ+ community and has experience supporting individuals and family through the transitioning process.
