Hello, I'm Rebecca Zabinski, a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC) in Minnesota. I am originally from New Mexico and met my husband in the United States Air Force. I am a woman veteran and have grown to love Minnesota and everything it has to offer. My approach to therapy is meeting people where they are at and coming up with some goals together so that there is a common focus between us. I have 3 boys and love animals. If I am not working, I am doing something outside with my kids, in the garden or with my dogs. I have over 11 years of experience in the counseling world and started my career in the Air Force. I have worked with children ages 5-17 and their families in the school settings. Now, I prefer to work with older teens and adults in all areas of life. I look forward to connecting with you. My approach My style in therapy is relational and conversational. I prefer to use my cognitive behavior therapy and attachment based techniques in therapy most of the time. Sometimes therapy includes having small goals each week to help build habits that lead to the client's overall goals in therapy. I believe that therapy is a collaborative effort between the client and the therapist and building trust is important to me in a therapeutic relationship. My focus I have experience and extensive background in providing therapeutic services to people with severe trauma histories, attachment issues, developmental disabilities, ADHD, Autism Spectrum Disorder, Anxiety, Depression, Opposition Defiant and Conduct Disorders, Bipolar, Emotional Behavioral Disorders, Adjustment Disorders, life transitions, relationship issues, career changes or work stress, mood disorders, and clients that are struggling with gender identity issues. I enjoy walking alongside clients in their journey to healing or self efficacy. My communication style My style is calming and relational. I do like to ask questions that help clients reflect and come up with solutions for themselves.
