Life can be difficult, bringing different seasons, with varying degrees of unexpected life changes. There are times in life that you will need to turn to a professional counselor, to gain direction and clarity, during these challenging times. I can be that counselor for you. As a Christian counselor, I will provide counseling techniques of cognitive behavioral therapy and/or solution oriented therapy to help you, and/or your loved one, navigate these uncertain waters. We are many parts of One Body of Christ, each with our own unique combination of gifts. I will help you to facilitate your journey in discovering what your unique gifts are. One of the gifts I am blessed with, is that as a counselor. I am here to share my skills with you. I specialize in Christian, faith-based counseling and can only provide this modality upon request. And naturally, I counsel all people, who hold all other belief systems. I have found that counseling from a Christian perspective provides all of the additional tools needed for inner healing, since it is actually the Grace of God that provides the healing. What I have found over these years is that hope comes easier for a Christian, values tend to be in accord with the natural consequences of actions. God created the world for these natural consequences. With over 27 years experience as a Licensed Counselor, with a MA in Counseling Psychology, I am an interactive, solution-focused therapist, who uses a variety of modalities. I tailor my therapeutic approach, according to your own personal needs, with complementary methodologies and techniques. I provide support and practical feedback to help you effectively address personal life challenges. With compassion and understanding, I work with each individual to help you to address the your issues and build on your strengths. I am providing services to a broad spectrum of clients, ages 9-99; including, but not limited to, issues of; grief and bereavement, couples counseling, family counseling, girl empowerment (making healthy choices), conflict resolution, life coaching, transitional life issues, work issues, depression, anxiety, blending step-families, stress management, trauma resolution, and more. I have years of experience working with the special issues of military families. I also counsel the deaf and hearing impaired population. I have been signing since 1981.
