Hi. My name is Paula Martell. I am a Licensed Professional Counselor in the state of Missouri. I have been working in the fields of mental health and substance addiction for 40 years. My counseling degree is from Washington University.

I bring a breadth of training and experience that allows me to use a blend of approaches in dealing with a wide range of concerns. I have worked in a variety of settings including community mental health, residential treatment, and private practice treating individuals with a wide range of concerns including trauma, depression, anxiety, and addictions. My areas of specialization now are trauma treatment and addiction treatment.

My therapy approach varies with the concerns and needs of the individual I am helping. I am skilled in DBT, EMDR, Gestalt, 12 Step recovery., psychodynamic, and trauma focused cognitive therapy. I am passionate about providing help and hope to those impacted by trauma and addiction. Healing comes about through the therapeutic relationship and action.
