About
Therapy and healing is hard work and it takes immense courage and resilience to make yourself a priority. As your therapist, I will be honest when giving feedback and suggestions, even when it may be tough to hear. Integrity means having honesty and generating trust, which is how the connection is created and change occurs. In my work with clients, I foster authentic connection, trust, and meaningful space for healing to occur. I am committed to honoring your truth and your willingness to show up for yourself. I am committed to lifting those whose voices are stifled. This includes BIPOC, LGBTQ, and minority populations. I am trained in the Gottman Method, Level 1 and 2, a type of Couples Counseling through the Gottman Institute. I also utilize Holistic Psychotherapy and Transpersonal therapy techniques when appropriate such as mindfulness, meditations, guided imagery, sound healing, and breathing techniques. I am a trauma-informed, LGBTQ ally/gender-affirming practitioner, and BIPOC practitioner. I do not practice religious-based counseling, however, I do respect all religions and spiritual beliefs in my work with my clients because it can be powerful to utilize spiritual practices in finding meaning, purpose, connection, and healing. I am a strong believer and advocate for all human rights, women’s rights, liberation, and justice. My office is a safe space for all. I honor your life and needs. I believe that you are the expert in your own experience and I’m here to validate and empower you.
