About
Nikita Turman, APC started her clinical experience in 2015. She received her Bachelor’s in Psychology from THE Fort Valley State University in 2012, then, she went on to complete her Master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Walden University, graduating in 2016, Summa Cum Laude. Upon receiving her Bachelor’s, Nikita began working as a Residential Counselor where she assisted individuals with various disabilities and assisting them in their activities of daily living as well as building their mental health. During Nikita’s time in her Master’s Program, she had the opportunity to gain experience in a private practice where she worked with a wide range of populations; adults, children/adolescents, couples, and groups with a variety of mental health disorders and psychosocial issues. As a therapist, Nikita has a passion for meeting clients where they are and helping them reach a level of their best self and full potential. Her objective is to create an environment where her clients feel safe processing their emotions. Her mission is to use a collaborative approach with her clients while using integrative treatment modalities not limited to Solution Focused, Reality, Cognitive Behavioral, and Person Centered Therapy to get to the root of their issues and concerns, build their coping mechanisms, transform their current thinking, and build their confidence.
