I am focused on helping support clients through challenges in their lives through a strengths-based person- centered approach. I believe that each individual has the capacity within themselves to elicit changes and that part of the struggle sometimes is just being able to recognize their own internal strengths. My role as therapist is not to make decisions for other people, but to help people build insight into making decisions for themselves. Empowerment is key and central to my practice and I devote time and dedication to forming a therapeutic alliance where you will feel safe, secure and heard. My practice backyard utilizes a variety of modalities because each person I work with is unique and what may work for some may not work for others. Some of those treatment modalities include cognitive behavioral therapy, psychodynamic approaches, solution-focused, dialectical behavioral therapy, acceptance and commitment therapy and mindfulness-based.
