Greetings… My credentials include Licensed Clinical Social Worker and Certified Addictions Professional with over 20 years of clinical experience. I hold the following certifications/specialized training: Rational Emotive Behavioral Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, Motivational Enhancement Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy for Substance Use Disorders and Chronic Pain. My approach to helping people feel better is multifaceted, assessing and treating the whole person. My scope of practice includes individual, group, and family psychotherapy as well as substance abuse evaluation and treatment. I am well versed in cultural issues particular to African Americans, Hispanics, Latinos, and Caribbean Islanders. In numerous practice settings, I have treated members of the aforementioned communities and others with presenting problems such as grief, chemical dependency, anxiety, depression, trauma, stress, and relationship problems. My passion of being a catalyst for mental health propels me to guide clients on their journey of holistic wellness.
