I have over 19 years experience as a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in various settings: private practice, psychiatric hospitals, residential treatment centers, domestic violence shelters, forensic facilities and advocacy centers. I was qualified as an expert witness in trauma and abuse in several metro Atlanta counties and conducted over 300 forensic interviews. I served over 10 years as an Executive Board Member on the State of Georgia Sexual Offender Registration Review Board (SORRB) and published on various mental health topics. I also taught psychology at the undergraduate level and conducted workshops on relationship issues, parenting skills, stress management and mandated reporting.

I received my BA from Emory University and both my M.Ed and Ed.S from the University of Florida. I have worked in the mental health field for over 23 years-19 years as a LPC. I am also a registered out-of-state Telemental Health Provider for the State of Florida (TPMC4) and therefore can see FL residents.

I approach counseling as a relationship in which you are the expert of your own life. My job is to meet you where you are now and help empower you to resolve your own issues during and after therapy. Drawing from cognitive-behavioral (CBT), solution focused and rational emotive behavior therapies together we will strive to change a situation that no longer works so you can live your best life.
