About

Hello, my name is Nancy Littleford and when searching for a therapist, it’s good to understand a little bit about who that person is so that you can find the best fit, I hope this brief bio helps you meet me and I look forward to meeting you.

I am a native of Colorado, born to immigrant parents who came from Croatia in 1962. In addition to being a first-generation American, I’m also a first generation college graduate, obtaining an English degree from CU Denver and then to Regis University for my Master’s degree in counseling psychology.

I have been a Licensed Professional Counselor since 2000 and have worked in a combination of community mental health and corporate population health & wellness roles. I believe that any problem or challenge in life can be solved by understanding who you are (before the world told you who to be), how to recognize your strengths, talents and values so that you can create more alignment between the life you live and your true self.

My approach to therapy is a combination of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (thoughts, lead to feelings, which lead to behaviors) and a goal-oriented, solutions-focused and action-based life coaching method; I call myself a Life Strategist versus psychotherapist. In addition to helping with life’s hard challenges and problems, I have a specific program for people seeking to find the right career or to make a pivot that more closely aligns their work with their values. My clients are highly-functioning women and men who already possess some self-awareness and are motivated to know themselves more deeply and create happier, more fulfilling lives.

Whether you are in a transition, desire to make a pivot or are just looking to understand how you got here and where you want to go next, I offer a supportive and empathetic setting to learn how to live your best life. I practice from a trauma-informed lens, knowing that none of us has avoided experiencing some sort of trauma in our lives and I am also certified to provide culturally relevant and identity-affirming care to the LGBTQ+ population. I am a fervent ally and advocate for all who are “othered”.
